With a focus on customizing each ceremony to reflect the needs, beliefs and values of the clients, Celebrants are trained in the art of ceremony, symbolism and tradition.
Professional Life Cycle Celebrants
The Celebrant Foundation & Institute is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to training Celebrants in helping individuals, families, couples and organizations mark life's milestones with respectful and personalized ceremonies. We are not affilated with any particular faith or religion, but rather honor and reflect those beliefs important to our clients and their families.
A WorldWide Presence
Founded in Australia over thirty-five years ago, Celebrants worldwide have officiated at virtually every life event, including weddings and commitment ceremonies, funerals and memorials, baby blessings, adoption ceremonies, and civic and corporate occasions.
The Celebrant Foundation & Institute has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The CBS Nightly News, The New York Times, The Utne Reader, BBC Radio Europe/US, and NPR.
Strong Code of Ethics
The Celebrant Association Members’ Code of Ethics includes:
"...Serving each client with respect, sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring that clients have complete choice of and final say over their ceremonies, and that the Celebrant's personal beliefs are immaterial to the process; encouraging clients in choosing and approving a ceremony that is satisfying to them; and providing a service that recognizes the unique personalities of each client, being sensitive to their needs, wishes, values, philosophical and spiritual beliefs and cultural backgrounds, and not discriminating on the basis of gender, race, religion, philosophy of life, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, or sexual orientation."
